What Does A Facility Manager Do?
Speaking in general terms, a facility manager is one who is in charge of the maintenance of buildings. This goes beyond just surface maintenance to include the infrastructure, materials and facilities that make that building suitable for use. It is the facility’s manager’s duty to ensure that the building is in top shape at all times. This means that a facility manager is always on hand to ensure that the facility is in top shape at all times.
But beyond just maintenance, a facility manager has a role to play from the inception of a building project. He can give insight and advice on how to make the property more sustainable and easier to manage. He can also prove invaluable in purchasing a property.
When planning on investing in commercial or high end residential buildings, choosing an experienced and qualified facility manager will prove to be invaluable. This will eventually translate into longer life span of property as well as savings on repairs of utilities.
